Speech and Language Therapy, Kent and East Sussex
I am a paediatric speech and language therapist, specialising in Autism Spectrum Condition in my work for the NHS and in my private practice. I work with children and young people aged 2 ½ to 18. All aspects of Autism Spectrum Condition interest me, and I am particularly interested in working with children who have:
- Little or no language
- Social communication difficulties
- Difficulties accessing the curriculum and reaching their potential in an Early Years/ School setting as a result of symptoms of Autism Spectrum Condition
- High levels of anxiety and associated mental health difficulties
- Carers, families and professionals working with them who also need support
I work part-time for the NHS carrying out autism assessments (ADOS-2), providing autism training for Early Years Settings and Schools, and administering the ADOS for CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service) with clinical psychologists and psychiatrists.
I offer a full range of services including assessment, diagnosis, therapy, training and supervision. See the Services page for details of these and the therapy approaches I use.
I regularly speak at conferences and events as part of my campaigning work advocating for improved autism and mental health services.
